What is meant by Image backup?
The Image backup application can be used in both Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 PC’s. It generates bit by bit copy of the entire system. This backup feature includes full installation of the operating system, Windows apps, user data, settings, etc. This application is mainly used to take complete restoration of the system data in case of any critical errors, software issues, hardware issues, etc.
The main disadvantage of this application is you cannot restore individual files. This app is only meant for restoring everything i.e. bit by bit backup to the same hard disk. If you failed to take backup regularly and if any system failure occurs then there may be chances of losing valuable software, settings, etc. So in order to overcome these issues Microsoft introduces two new reset features in windows 8.1 PC and these features can also be used in Windows 10 PC’s. To keep up to date copy of your system documents, files, etc. it is better to use these feature along with File History which offers most robust backup solution.
